Professional Development
and Continuing Education Assistance
St. Mary Medical Center supports employees in their quest for
continuous learning and professional growth opportunities that will
support the mission and values of the hospital.
Eligibility All employees who have
completed one year of employment at St. Mary Medical Center and are in a
benefit-eligible classification are eligible for professional development
continuing education assistance.
The employee must be a full-time or a benefit-eligible part-time
employee during the entire term of the course and for thirty (30) days
after its completion.
Reimbursement Qualifications One or
more of the following criteria must be satisfied:
- Coursework listed in an employee’s education plan (annual
evaluation), which has been approved and is on file in the Human
Resources department.
- Other course that are related to an employee’s current position or
in preparation for related career opportunities within St. Mary Medical
Center.
- Courses that will apply to a degree or certificate from an
accredited institution of higher learning that will lead to a degree or
certificate in a high-demand field (list to be maintained by the Human
Resources department).
Reimbursement Maximums Full-time
employees: $3,000 per fiscal year Part-time employees: $1,500 per
fiscal year |
