Our full-service Emergency Department, open 24 hours every day, provides a medical examination and stabilization for all patients in need of emergency services. All patients receive an initial registered nurse's assessment/triage, followed by a medical examination and stabilization by a board-certified emergency department physician or physician's assistant. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide rapid medical examinations (RME), with an average door-to-provider time of less than 15 minutes; our average length of stay for patients is approximately three hours or less.
We are staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, highly trained certified physician assistants, registered nurses and emergency department technicians dedicated to delivering quality health care to the High Desert. If you have a primary physician, they will be sent information regarding your emergency department visit. If you do not have a primary physician, we will be happy to refer you to a physician who can provide follow-up care.
Patients who arrive in our emergency department with chest pain will receive an EKG within 10 minutes of arrival—surpassing the national average.
